In the daily machining, the CNC machining accuracy we usually refer to includes two aspects. The first aspect is the dimensional accuracy of processing, and the second aspect is the surface accuracy of processing, which is also the surface roughness we often say. Let’s briefly describe the range of these two CNC machining accuracy.

First of all, let’s talk about the dimensional accuracy of CNC. The dimensional accuracy refers to the difference between the actual value and the ideal value of the size and geometric shape of the parts after processing. If the difference is smaller, the higher the accuracy is, the worse the accuracy is. For different parts with different structures and materials, the precision of the processed parts is also different If the NC machining accuracy is generally within 0.005mm, it is the limit precision value. Of course, under the special equipment and technology, we can also control the CNC machining accuracy in a smaller range.

The second is the surface accuracy of the parts. Different processing technology, the surface CNC machining accuracy is also different. The surface accuracy of turning processing is relatively higher, but milling is worse. The conventional process can ensure that the surface roughness reaches more than 0.6. If there are higher requirements, it can be realized through other processes, and the highest can be processed into mirror effect.

Generally speaking, the dimensional accuracy of the part is related to the surface roughness of the part. If the higher the dimensional accuracy is, the higher the surface roughness is, otherwise it cannot be guaranteed. At present, in the field of medical equipment parts processing, the dimensional assembly requirements of many parts are not high, but the tolerance marked is very small. The basic reason is that the surface roughness of products has requirements.
